Why I’m a believer of the non-believer

Faith, it conjures up many images. Holy beings, mass worship, George Michael in a 90’s leather jacket showing off his wiggle, but what does it all mean?
Well faith means different things to many different people. Too some it is just a belief in the greater good of things, to others its spiritual and the essence of their religion. I’m not going to debate the many things I find wrong with religion or those who follow in blind faith in a world of logic and fact that just seems crazy to me. What I am going to rant on is why I am a non believer in these many faiths but mainly Christianity as I am Westerner and on this side of the pond we choose that religion as the right one even if it was created many thousands of years after many others.
First of all I haven’t always been a straight out non-believer. When I was younger, say 7 (I forget how old so here’s a rough number), I was unsure on the existence of God and would sometimes pray to whomever I thought was up their looking out for me to help. It was pretty mundane things most of the time like can a girl notice me, I want this thing and so on but sometimes it was a more vast idea such as feed to hungry and heal the sick. But alas none of this came true but was not the reason for my lack of god.
There are many reasons why I am 100% sure all religions are false my main reason is logic and sense. If you actually read your bible you will find many horrible things that are okay to do that are just wrong. Slavery, rape, murder and that’s just what God does to us let alone what we did to ourselves. Many people of these faiths say that these are out dated but if they are God’s words and he is forever right are you telling me that if he (or she) tells you to hate all gays then you are telling him (or her) they are wrong? Good luck getting into heaven with that attitude to the rules.
My second reason is the idea of heaven and hell. Every person has their own idea of what heaven and hell is so what I enjoy and love are not the same as what others love. It also states that no animals go to heaven, why? As an animal lover I find this a good reason that I do not want to worship a cruel being like God. Animals have conscious and presents just like us. They excise and love just like us. Just because they don’t have mobile phones and TV’s doesn’t make them any less alive than us. But no, no heaven for them as to god they are just food and fun.
A big reason I will not believe in a religious god is just look around. There is so much evil and pain in the world that you would feel a god would help. But they do not which once again begs the question why pray and worship a being that will do whatever it wants anyway. If god has the power to do good then he (or she) also has the power to do evil. But from what the bible teaches us is that he has a plan and it cannot be changed. So if its saving a baby from a burning building or giving children cancer it is all part of gods plan.
These are only a few of the points that make me a non believer and I’m sure anyone who chooses to read this will disagree. But I would like to say one last thing. If god is real say and there is a heaven and a hell then people should be let in on what they have done in life not who they worshipped. Any loving being would feel this way and would not punish another for choosing wrong faith or ignoring them. To me God is just a kid with an ant farm and a magnifying glass. No matter how much you pray they will still do whatever they want because they cannot hear you.

One Direction are a bunch of Ballbags

So it's a New Year, A New You and the same old crap on the radio. It's been quite a long time since I last wrote a collection of words the form a blog but, busy lives lead busy times. While working I hear the radio a lot, to drown out the sights and sounds of the underworld, but how I wished I'd just sunk further.
It seems music no longer is about the songs but about the twits that stand in front of the mic miming to them. You ask most people what they think of these wannabe models and they stare longingly into the air and think of a group of guys or girls who wear less clothes than a seasoned tramp. It's not that these "bands" can't sing it's that they represent the ideas that fame is the most important part of being a musican.
First of all someone else writes all their songs, which I think involves throwing words at a zoo and seeing what order they are shitted out in. They then dress themselves ready for a night shift on the red light district and off they go promoting this image to as many slow minded people as they can. It's only a rare occasion that you even hear them sing a song, which is probably for the best if they want people to like them.
Let's take One Direction, a bunch of hairless ball bags who spunk on more young women than a pedophile in heat. They dance around and show off their young boy ways sucking in young girls to love them. All the while being as sexual as they can without being porn stars. Makes you forget that they even sing and write music. Oh wait, they don't.
Now there are many different types of music and it's clear I would never like this kind even if god wrote a song about how great I was sung by supermodels. Variety and taste is what makes us human and help to breed new ideas but groups like this are destroying what is left of our music industry. Children have no idea that these products are being created and sold to them like heroin sucking all the life out of their creativity and dreams. It's flooding our music charts, radios and tv's with products rather than music and taking up all the room and money real music deserves. The worst part is people know this but don't care as if they've accepted music is created in a lab and pumped out by models. We even have shows were we watch people who have grown up with this idea and now believe they can do it too even if they can't sing just as long as they are a product.
Just think how great it would be if music was actually good and played with heart and soul and not cash and sex. But I guess people would rather have Justin Biebers sex on them than The Beatles Love.

......the greatest event on Earth.

So, seven years of waiting and now it's all over. The highs, the lows and all the negative attitudes from the general public are all done with. So what can I say about the Olympics of London 2012? From the moment that we got them back in 2005, the groans of the public could be heard from space. Even France had to turn up their accordions and hit each other with stereotypes in order to get away from it. Never has a public been so upset to be given what is known as 'The greatest games in the world'. From the word go we thought it would fail. Costs were too high, stadiums wouldn't be finished and the opening ceremony would never beat China's. Now after two weeks of sport, I think we can all agree that we were mostly wrong. Even I, in my upmost negative state, was worried it would be a mess and I am very glad that from the moment the opening ceremony began, I knew we had done well. Why try and compete with China? Our pesky human rights would just get in the way, so let’s just make it theatrical and historical and show the world what they love about England, as most of them have never been here. When the rings were forged in the industrial mount doom of England and then rose up to the dark cloudy sky of our glorious summer, the gasps of wonder were heard all over the world. We had done it. Shame that the closing ceremony pissed on this event like a drunk at a wedding. After an amazing two weeks of sport that really touched the nation we were all geared up for the end show. The passing over. We'd done so great we were already patting ourselves on the back and putting our feet up saying "we did it". Then it happened. Other than being a 2 hour concert that was so diverse you would have thought you’d had shuffle on your iPod for the last 70 years, it was a collection of greats being kicked over by shit. When One Direction came on the back of a lorry, other than hoping it would crash, you’d have wondered 'I hope it doesn't get worse'. But sadly it did. Spice Girls! Why did they come back together to mime their way into a show. Not only is the only thing girl power showed and supported was that dressing like sluts gets you men, but that being able to sing doesn't matter if you look pretty. But it can't get worse right....? Oh good, it's Brian May, We Will Rock You will show who’s boss tonight. Oh no, it’s Jessie J. Singing. Now I don't have any opinion on her other than she is a pop star and dresses like a tramp in a glitter store, once again another pop star using music to help fund their modelling career. I feel Freddie would be crying if he was alive. But thankfully he isn't. Now the games themselves. Amazing? Fantastic? Unbelievable? All great words to describe them. I enjoyed every minute I watched. Learning the rules of sports I never knew were real and that is the point of the games. To enjoy it and watch sports that you may not like but enjoy because you see how great they can be. I was on the edge of my set watching horses dance, woman kicking each other in the face and Andy Murray beating my hero Roger Federer because that's what the games do. We are in one of the worse times in financial history so why not cheer up the world with some games? I actually went to an event and I was overwhelmed with how nice the helpers were, how relaxed and friendly the security and army officers were there and how everyone just got along, no matter race, religion or nationally and that, my friends, is why the Olympics is the greatest event on Earth. crash, bang, EXPLODED, earth saved.....

I thought that this time round I would write about movies, those big things that seem to change our lives. From the ones I love, to the ones I hate. Let's start with what I feel is the greatest movie of all time. ‘Pan's Labyrinth’, a film that makes cinema speak to your brain and make it say HELL YEAH. It's the story of a little girl named Ofelia who is caught up in the post Spanish Civil war, during the Francoist period, and it mixes the real world with fantasy. Ofelia's mother is carrying the child of the head of a fascist army which is hunting the Spanish rebels. Once her and her mother are brought there they start to feel unease and Ofelia is not happy with her mothers new man. She wanders about the grounds and finds a mystic land where she finds out she is a princess of the underworld trapped on earth and the only way to prove if she is the princess is by passing three tasks. This movie is magical blend of fantasy and reality. Showing us the true beauty of fairy tale's and child-like ways of thinking. The characters are beautifully portrayed, especially the little girl, Ofelia, who leads you into her fantasy world, to which you are left wondering whether it is real or not. But it does not shy away from the brutality of war and freedom and helps to show us the ways of imagination and the idea of escapism. ‘Transformers’, a film based on the classic 1980's cartoons. Directed by Michael Bay, this film uses exploding cars, exploding robots and pretty much anything that can explode in order to tell you a poor story of some badly acted characters and how 'oh, look, Meg Fox is in it'. It's predictable from the moment it starts and the only feeling of joy I had was when it ended....but then I heard there are more...... ‘Oldboy’, when madness becomes reality in Park Chan-wook's non stop action puzzler, Oh Dae-su must find out why he was imprisoned for 15 years without reason after he is suddenly released only to have 5 days to find out why. This film boasts amazing cinematography, ground breaking fight scenes and a brain twisting plot. The fact that Oh Dae-su is played so well by Choi Min-sik makes it all the more a must-watch for any film lover. If the fact it’s in Korean puts you off then shut up and deal with it, you can read can't you! ‘Pearl Harbour’, an inaccurate account of explosions when the U.S.A. joined the rest of us in the Second World War. The acting from Ben Affleck is so wooden that at times you could be mistaken for watching an auction for a chair and table set. While the plot and story itself is so stiff and patriotic that the bucket you would be using to be sick into would be so full half way through you'd have to hope it comes out of your carpet. ‘Let the Right One In’, is a Swedish vampire film based on a book of the same name. You may have seen this without knowing as the remake 'Let me in' was released last year but I see no point as the original version is flawless. I'm guessing reading is too hard for some people. Anyway, the story is about a lonely little boy who is bullied at school but befriends his next door neighbour, a little girl, who just turns out to be a vampire. This film is not like the sparkly family fun of the twilight series. It shows a much darker tone to what I think is the true vampire image (if there is one). It reminds me a lot of the classics like 'Dracula' and 'Nosferatu' as well as new updates such as 'An interview with a vampire'. If you want to see a film that chills you to the bone, watch this NOW! 'he can't eat that. Did he just eat all of that?'

Okay, so it's been a while since I've blogged so here it is, a blog. With words and random statements about things I don't like such as ‘oh aren't the cinemas crap’ and ‘ooh we need more ice cream flavours’, but I'm not going to bore you with detail let's kick this blog into overdrive. Brace yourself! I have been watching a few television shows of late and would like to start by driving my hate bus into the building of shit that is “The Big Bang Theory” (E4). Now I know a lot of people love this show but I just don't get it. I watched it with friends when nothing was on and was neither bored nor entertained. It started off by reaching a whole new area of comedy which is 'Meh!". After a few episodes I started to grow weary of the characters and the one lined jokes that poke fun at the dumb (queue lots of laughing) or as we are known, the audience. The fact that the jokes are neither funny nor entertaining is one thing, but the constant howling of the audience whenever any of the characters speak makes the program so unbearable that you find most of your time being used up picking out which laughs are real and which were forced by punishment of death. If this show is meant to show that the big bang was a good move, it makes me want a black hole to suck life back into it and hit the reset button. The next programme I've seen of late is the bizarre but strangely mesmerizing "Man vs food" (Dave). Where a man by the name of Adam Richman travels across the land, well the USA, in order to find the best, biggest and sometimes just plain mentally hot foods that his homeland has to offer. In one show he gets a team of 40 people to help him eat the world’s biggest burger weighing 190lbs in under 2 hours. But they fail. It's probabley the fact that its not only a burger but layered with bacon and cheese that would make any fat man explode with greed. Now it is easy on the first view of this show to say ‘what a pile of crap, look he's eating the hottest food in the world, right after eating enough food to feed Africa. Hope he's happy, the slightly fat man that he is, knowing he's eating enough food to feed a village. The bastard! ’ But you find yourself drawn to it, like a shiny thing on the ground, only to find out it's not money but a man eating 2 tonnes of ice cream and you just stare. Stare at the man and the food thinking 'he can't eat that. Did he just eat all of that? Well played man, whats next? COME ON ADAM - SHOW FOOD WHO’S THE BOSS.’ Lastly, but definitely not least, is the American Show "Breaking Bad" (AMC). Not only is it a great show, it's also from the same channel that brought us “The Walking Dead”, so that's double thumbs up to them. It stars the Dad from “Malcolm in the Middle”, Bryan Cranston for those who want to know, as Walter White, a Noble Prize winning chemistry teacher who is told on his 50th birthday that he has incurable lung cancer. Shocked by the news, he goes on a run along with his brother-in-law to a meth lab where he meets an old student of his, Jesse, now a meth dealer. Deciding he could make a lot of money to leave to his pregnant wife and disabled child, he pairs up with him making the best meth around and goes through all hell in this non stop adventure. Now I am only a few episodes in and I know I'm late to the party with this show as many of my friends have been telling me to watch it for ages, but get the DVDs and watch it - it is truly outstanding and I am hooked, wanting more. Unlike The Big bang Theory which just leaves me sad and lonely in a cloud of shit. Tweet me @Pippy_Pippatron

like putting a bowl of ice cream in a microwave....

There are many things in this world that puzzle me. Like The Sun's daily horoscopes, which belittle the idea of chance by dishing out false ideas that 1 in 12 of us will have each day. Such as, where you will meet the perfect someone if you’re single. Yet the next day it offers more advice on where to meet someone; showing you how much they believe their prediction in the first place.
What else gets me is the way the country goes mental over snow like we've just been given the cure for aids. People can't believe how it is snowing in winter, when it's cold. Facebook was overwhelmed with statuses of "It's snowing", "I love snow" and "Snow problem" (being part of my status I must say). Then pictures of people in the snow going look, look at me. I know it's snowing I have windows! Now I'm not against the snow I think it looks lovely covering the planet and the roads and making it look pure and pretty. What I hate is how everything suddenly goes haywire. The rules no longer apply. People walk in roads and give you the evils for driving in them like you’re meant to. Kids throw snowballs at you, your car or anything they want as if 'hey, it's just snow' but it's the same as running up to someone in the rain and throwing a bucket of water at them; "cheer up fucker, it’s raining".
It also seems that there is so little news in the world that all the papers, radio, T.V and social networking sites can seem to carry on about is ‘will Harry Redknapp manage the England football team’? Even the Prime Minster is trying to join in with common folk by talking about who will be the next manager. I feel the object that is missing is not who manages them but that we will still have the same bunch of useless fuck wits not caring, running around in boredom cause they don't get paid. I am a football fan but watching England play is like putting a bowl of ice cream in a microwave and setting it to max, slowly melting away like a dog turd on a beach.
Some sad news while writing this is that the singer and performer Whitney Houston has passed away, the cause is mainly being linked to her use of drugs in the last ten years. Now this is when people go on and on about her and say drugs are bad blah blah blah but it was her choice and if it killed her so what? We all are going to die one day. The public and media go mad of over her doing drugs yet on the next page have pictures of people drinking heavily or smoking. Then a beer advert on the next page. It really does make you wonder what people know about drugs.
It's not the fact she did drugs, nor that they were illegal it was that people forget it's her choice and she didn't harm anyone but herself, which is her right as a human being, no matter what you say. It also reminds me of a story in The Sun "Newspaper" about Adele and how she is overweight. So what? Her music's still good, right? I don't turn it off every time going "Oh this is so good but I fear she may eat me". The media picks up on all the wrong details. She's a singer, she can sing that's all that matters to us, as her listeners; everything else is trivia and of no concern to us as it doesn't effect us. So grow up people.
Sorry I've gone all serious maybe I should put in some dick or fanny jokes. Whichever comes first I guess.

me, me, me and you. No not you, ME!

Welcome to the New Year of 2012 where all our dreams will come true and the worlds going to end at some point because some people thousands of years ago said it would much like many others. But this time people it's the real one. Okay people, so better do all your living this year, do it, do it now!
I thought I'd start this year by not being angry at what I see on T.V or in the papers but, what more with what I'm doing with my life and then get angry at that, AHHHHHHHHH feel my anger people. I'm really angry and I have points, so listen!
First of all, right now I'm editing a music video for a brilliant and upcoming artist for my PHADcast podcast, which we are now moving into filming music videos for unsigned bands. So first some self promotion. I do a podcast called PHADcast (on iTunes, YouTube, Facebook and our website www.phadcast.com) and we are now filming music videos for unsigned bands that we also play on our podcast show. The videos will be on our YouTube channel so check it out soon people!!
Now to the angry part. Editing is a lonely and tiresome progress. What you do is sit on your own trying not to look at YouTube or Facebook to cheer yourself up from watching the same scene over and over again only to finish and make a well rounded product that no one thanks you for because your are like Gollum from Lord of The Rings pining over your precious and if you dare see the day of light or you'll die! So next time you see the precious remember that someone sat and watched over that clip so many times to get it perfect they prob puked out their own eyes just so they can make the best looking product they can with the imagery they have.
Anyway in other fun news about myself I've tried to bring letters back. I say bring back as if they died but no, what I really meant was to do it more. But what have I learned about writing letters? Well first I can't spell, so my letters look more like a forged sickness letter from a 4 year old. Then they is trying to write. Like most 21st century humans I haven't written for more than 5 minutes since I was in secondary school so my hands seize up the minute the pen starts to embrace the paper like a new born cat learning to walk but falling over after just a few steps. Lastly finding the time to actually sit and write something new to people whom I speak too at least once a week either through text, Facebook or in person is nearly impossible, other than writing dirty secrets that I'm too ashamed to even tell my own mother.
What else about me as it is all about me, me, me and you. No not you, ME! Well I am a guitar player and am studying so many things my mind has left me and gone to lunch without me. Theory, Grade 7, solos, chords and other things related to music like looking good and being famous (although I'm still working on this). All I can say is it's hard work and lets get to it. So not much anger or pointing at people but a start to the year and a start about me. Now run along children and get yourself some fun. Not that fun, that's illegal.....

Also Tweet me @Pippy_Pipatron all your hate, ideas and if you want any PHADcast related stuff
